We may be one of the largest music societies on campus, but we always LOVE to welcome new members! Here are some more details on what you can expect!

Who Can Join?
Any student at the University of Exeter or other member of the Student’s Guild are welcome to join! There is no audition process and no requirement to read music – all we ask is that you enjoy singing. Our Choir consists of members from across all subjects and age groups from freshers to post-grads and members of staff! Some of our members have sung in choirs before and others have never sung with a group until now!
What Do We Do?
We rehearse every Wednesday from 5 till 6:30pm. We sing a wide range of music from a variety of genres including musicals, choral and some traditional folk songs, with each term building up to a performance held at venues in and around Exeter. We also have other opportunities to perform each term in the form of busking and caroling!

Our Socials
Outside of rehearsals, we hold a range socials such as bowling, bonfire night or beach social!
Our socials are a great chance to relax and meet people outside of rehearsals!
Everyone is welcome at every social, regardless of whether you’re a regular member or just come occasionally!
Contemporary Choir is proud of its reputation as a welcoming and inclusive society, and is committed to being anti-racist and providing an equality of services and care to everyone, regardless of people’s age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or beliefs or sexual orientation. We have absolutely no tolerance for any racist, homophobic or discriminatory behaviour.
